Ordering Prints

Most of my images are available for purchase through Smugmug’s professional-quality printing services.  To do this, just click the “Buy” button to the upper right of the image as you are browsing through the gallery.  It will take you to a screen where you can select sizes and number of copies, and it’s pretty self explanatory from there.  The prints will be shipped straight to you from Smugmug.

A few notes on the types of paper on which you can order prints:

Glossy is a standard glossy print like you’re probably used to seeing, printed on Kodak Edge paper.  It has a great color saturation but is highly reflective so it can be hard to see if it’s in direct light.

Metallic looks similar to glossy at first, but it is printed on special Kodak Professional Endura Metallic paper which imparts a chrome-like quality to the image.  It looks very, very cool, especially with colorful underwater images.  This is my favorite paper and is what I print all of my own underwater pieces on.

Lustre is kind of a cross between matte and glossy, printed on thicker Kodak Professional Endura paper.  It has a textured finish so it doesn’t reflect nearly as much as glossy, yet it still has excellent color.  I use this paper almost exclusively for anything where I’m not using metallic.  Mostly above-water images.

Limited Prints

On each trip I take, I select a few of my favorite images and offer them only as finished matted, framed, signed, and numbered pieces.  These images will be noted in the gallery by *Limited Print* directly under the image description (species) and you will not be able to purchase prints of them via the shopping cart.  If you are interested in any of these images, please email me.  I personally mat, frame, and ship these to you.
